My role

I found the data, contacted two independent nonprofits tracking strikes and civilian deaths, and built the project.

This was my first mapping project. I used MapLibre to put the strike locations on a map and connect the geographic data with information about reported civilian deaths.

I built the map with MapLibre and used D3 for a chart that lets readers switch between yearly drone strikes and reported civilian deaths.

I uploaded the project to my college’s capstone repository, where other students have downloaded it more than 200 times.
